EXPAND!Contest
Skill-Capped, Inc., a video tutorial technology for on-line gamers, a company owned by Jeff Brabant, Cell Arrington, and Jordan Garcia, based in Blacksburg, VA, was the big winner on October 27, 2011 at Super Synergy (www.supersynergy.org). Skill-Capped, Inc., has capitalized on the pipeline of millions of on-line video gamers throughout the world and is positioned properly to take advantage of a growing niche with their proprietary software.
Skill-Capped beat out a field of more than 178 entrepreneurs in the EXPAND! contest (www.expandcontest.com) that began on August 23, 2011 and ended with a five minute presentation against a field of four other entrepreneurs that included two other Blacksburg based companies, Engagn and BlinkMatchApp.
More than $35,000 worth of case and prizes were awarded.
The Roanoke Regional Entrepreneur Center was the title sponsor for the EXPAND! contest.

The Roanoke Regional Entrepreneur Center is available to provide new and growing businesses not only office space, but a synergistic environment for collaboration, assistance and mentoring.
The Center provides:
- For permanent tenants, an assigned office.
- For temporary tenants, an office equipped with desk and computer available on part-time basis (one day a week).
- Reasonable rent ($100 a month for part-time, from $200-$450 for permanent space based on office size)
- One year lease for permanent space, no lease for temporary space.
- Use of conference room - equipped with TV (for presentation), whiteboard and conference telephone system.
- Copying machine
- Fax machines
- Wireless Internet
- Use of large training room
- Downtown street address
- Priority access to the Roanoke Small Business Center
